A Legacy of Precision. A Future Built by Intelligence.

Founded in 1887 in Stuttgart, Germany, Daelyn Technologies began as Daelyn Rechenwerke, a family-owned workshop specializing in mechanical adding machines and precision instruments. Inspired by the industrial innovations sweeping through Europe, founder Otto Daelyn, a watchmaker’s son, combined meticulous engineering with practical design to produce some of the earliest commercial calculators used in banks, rail stations, and trading houses across the German Empire.

Wartime Innovation & the Birth of Computing

During the 1930s and 1940s, Daelyn’s expertise in mechanical computation led to a new chapter in its evolution. Contracted by the German military, the company developed artillery rangefinders and early navigation computersfor land and naval systems. These devices, though primitive by today’s standards, laid the groundwork for the company’s focus on precision automation and logic-driven systems.

Post-war reconstruction shifted Daelyn’s focus away from military contracts. The company reinvented itself in the 1950s, entering the growing field of industrial automation. Its electro-mechanical control systems powered textile mills, automobile assembly lines, and shipyards throughout Western Europe.

From Machines to Intelligence

By the 1980s, Daelyn had emerged as a key player in robotic engineering, developing multi-axis industrial arms and automated warehousing solutions. In the early 2000s, the company expanded into computer vision, machine learning, and natural language processing, quietly powering infrastructure in airports, smart factories, and logistics hubs.

In 2016, Daelyn unveiled its first prototype of an autonomous service robot, capable of contextual awareness, task adaptation, and multi-environment navigation. This breakthrough marked the beginning of the company’s most ambitious chapter.

The JOBOT Era

Today, Daelyn Technologies is best known for its groundbreaking JOBOT series—modular, humanoid robots designed to operate in diverse environments, from homes and hospitals to high-security zones and disaster relief areas. With a core logic unit and a suite of specialized expansion packs, JOBOT units can learn, adapt, and perform complex tasks with human-like precision and empathy.

Headquartered in Berlin with R&D facilities across Europe and North America, Daelyn Technologies remains privately held, fiercely independent, and committed to building a future where human potential is amplified—not replaced—by intelligent machines.
